A joint meeting was held this Wednesday, 5 November 2025, to connect the EU–China BioClima project with the OGC Climate Resilience Domain Working Group (DWG). The aim of the meeting was to establish initial contact between the two initiatives and explore opportunities for future collaboration in bioclimate research, data interoperability, and climate resilience standardisation.

The session included introductions to both the EU BioClima project, presented by Bob O’Hara, and the Chinese BioClima project, presented by Linlu Mei from the Aerosol and Atmospheric Remote Sensing group (AIR, Chinese Academy of Sciences). The remaining time was dedicated to an open discussion on potential areas of cooperation with the OGC Climate Resilience DWG.

The meeting served as an important step toward strengthening collaboration between BioClima and the OGC community.

Photos from the session, kindly provided by Mayte Toscano, show participants from both BioClima and the OGC Climate Resilience Working Group engaged in the discussion. The images illustrate the spirit of collaboration and the shared commitment to advancing bioclimate research through interoperability and open standards.
